Xiaomi’s Background: Demanding Both Quality and Cost
As a globally recognized technology brand, Xiaomi has always adhered to a single principle: high quality without high premiums.
This imposes extremely high requirements on the supply chain —
products must not only be stable, visually precise, and structurally reliable, but mold quality is absolutely critical.
In the early stages of fascia guns and related smart hardware projects, Xiaomi’s procurement team approached multiple suppliers. However, during actual implementation, they encountered the same recurring issues:
Mold precision was inconsistent
Batch-to-batch consistency was difficult to maintain
Structural components exhibited assembly, gap, and durability issues in mass production
Many factories appeared capable during sample trials, but once mass production began, quality rarely met Xiaomi’s standards for long-term, stable delivery.
The Starting Point: Trust from an “Old Friend”
After several unsuccessful attempts, Xiaomi’s procurement team remembered a longtime partner deeply experienced in molds and precision manufacturing —
our factory director.
When Xiaomi asked whether we could take on this project, our response was cautious but resolute:
“We are willing to try, and we see this as a true challenge.”
From the moment the project began, our design, mold, injection molding, and assembly teams worked in sync, repeatedly verifying structural feasibility, mold precision, and mass production stability — rather than merely pursuing “pretty samples.”
What We Did for Xiaomi
Throughout the collaboration, we did not simply act as a contract manufacturer. We deeply participated in every critical step of product realization:
Co-optimizing product structure and appearance design
Developing high-precision molds with multiple trial adjustments
Repeatedly verifying injection molding process parameters to ensure consistency
Standardizing mass production assembly processes to minimize tolerance deviations and defect rates
Implementing full-process quality control to ensure stable delivery
As a result, the products passed Xiaomi’s internal rigorous standards in structural precision, appearance consistency, and durability.
